Based in Orange County, CA, LA Life Development is a privately owned and operated commercial real estate company. Since our inception, we have assembled a portfolio of high quality assets from Los Angeles to San Diego.
Our founders created LA Life Development to serve as a source for partners navigating the world of real estate development, construction, financing, operations, and management in Southern California.
We pride ourselves on our creative partnerships, unique ideas, and a perspective that understands the inner workings and needs of local governments.
We have quietly expanded our firm to gain an international and local profile forming strategic partnerships and currently are undergoing several projects. Our portfolio includes both commercial and residential real estate projects.

Trevor O’Neil, PresidentCollaborator and Strategist
Trevor is a life-long entrepreneur who has led businesses large and small through all phases of growth and development. As a collaborator and strategist, he maintains a keen eye towards profitability while also balancing the needs of employees, clients, and customers. Trevor also served as Mayor of one of California’s largest cities, where he worked extensively on land use issues, including the city's housing element update and the approval of many commercial and residential development projects. Trevor knows and understands the entitlement and development agreement processes from the perspective of city staff and an elected official, which gives him a unique viewpoint and experience that few other real estate development executives possess.
Iris Liu, Managing DirectorSolutions-driven Executive
Iris is a visionary and dynamic businesswoman with over 20 years of international development and business operations expertise. She is a solutions-driven executive whose experience includes financial and operational leadership to high-growth project ventures, start-ups and turnarounds. She is known as a strategic financial leader who drives significant gains in revenues and bottom-line profits through crisis management strategic financial leadership. Iris is notably decisive and result driven, with outstanding negotiation and skills. A kind and gracious communicator with the ability to put others at ease, she quickly builds relationships based on mutual trust and benefit.
David BelmerDirector of Development Management
Mr. Belmer has over 35 years of experience in municipal government planning and management. He has held director-level positions in the fields of planning, economic development, redevelopment, and affordable housing. He has served as assistant/deputy city manager for several cities in Orange County. He has a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from California State University, Fullerton. Following his public service career, he served as Director of Housing for an Orange County-based non-profit dedicated to developing and operating housing for the homeless. David brings to the team his extensive experience with the entitlement review and approval process and his commitment to solution-oriented and collaborative negotiations.
Ross McCuneDirector of Construction
Mr. McCune has over 30 years of experience as a General Contractor in the Southern California construction market, specializing in design-build, design-assist, tenant improvements, structural rehabs, concrete tilt-ups, and LEED construction. His approach to construction emphasizes listening to the clients’ needs and delivering results that meet current needs while providing flexibility for the client’s long-term goals. Each development plan incorporates current building codes and innovative options. Great buildings are the result of detailed planning, uncompromising standards, skilled teams, and thorough understanding of each project’s needs and expected future. Ross’ consultative approach ensures that L.A. Life’s projects are completed on time and on-budget.
